The ONLY family portraits I have of my family all together are always of us on Halloween and in full costume!
Yeah, that's a bit odd...but I love my family portraits, they're so unique and show where I get my own personal weirdness!
My dad, a white guy, was the original director for "Soul Train" when it was still a local dance show in Chicago. My mom at age 65 is the Webmaster/Designer and Assistant Print Editor for a local newspaper in Eureka Springs AR. She knows more about HTML than some IT pros...and she's completely self-taught!
My genius brother (and I really mean it, his IQ is 147) after his wife died recently, decided to move himself and his two daughters to the Florida Keys and is now living on a SAIL BOAT! (To me...and to the chagrin of his daughters....it's weird)

Because I encourage them all the time to be unique..and that you don't have to go along with what is called 'the norm'...I love being unique and try to be that way everyday in as many different areas of my life that is possible..why not, life is too short already, so why not be what makes you happy..and as long as it isn't hurting anyone else.. so BE it, no matter what it is..those are my thoughts anyways..take care and PEACE to you and yours!

Because we all put up with each other !!!
Because we usually do stupid things and still can laugh no matter how stupid it is..
We try to spend most vacations with as many of us as possible still.
We Never try to keep up with the Jones'' we know who they are and never know where they are going anyway...
We all have totally different personalities and still like each other ,,,I THINK
We can spend days and weeks just laughing and talking about old times....and they are still funny...
We bug each other to death but would never want it anyother way..
We do our own thing , and still want to be together
We all respect each other and our differences

1] we can sing a song about every topic - and have
2] we are almost all funny
3] animals love us - they will come and sit on our feet when we walk into a house - even if we have never met the cat/dog or been to the house before. We can also hold cats that don't let others hold them.

Ain't got a family. Don't need one, don't want one, I'm fine by myself. And I guess that makes ME a freak to some folks.

Because the drinking age at family reunions is 16, and we bring our own karaoke CD's... and also we shoot groundhogs.
