Constantly looking up at everyone has negatively impacted my Self-esteem. I love being tiny, but often feel when standing next to average sized people inferior, inadequate, less than etcSometimes people seem to leave me out of the conversation, as if they don't even notice "Little Gracie" exists...They make a huge fuss over how cute and tiny I am, and don't take my opinions seriously...Just curious if anyone alse is concsious about their height as much as I am...) :

Yes. My height really did effect me in my life, like ever since i was a kid and in too my early teenage years (13-14) i was like the tall guy who was more or less taller then anyone in my grade or other grades. So i got pretty used to looking down at everyone and having to be at the very last row and the last person on the furtherest side when class photos came, just to name a few. But this all suddenly changed when i turned 15 (last year), i noticed that i was no more the really tall guy and people the same age as me or a year younger will taller then me and even some girls. And even standing at 5'11, i was alright, but there will quite a few people taller then me and i missed having too look down at people and probally being the only head protruding out of a crowd. As i was so used to it prieviously. So for about 6 months i stayed at this height and experienced how it was like to be the 'not so tall guy' after all, and came to the conclusion that i would be staying at this height permanetly. and did i mention that i had low-self esteem and i felt depressed.( pretty sad that i feel that much about my height heh?)

After having to nurse my sore neck ,i decided that i needed to do something so i began doing exercises, slept alot, ate heaps of meat and dranks lots of milk to hopefully try to push in just a few inches so i can hopefully at least hit that elusive 6' mark.

About a year and half & a couple of months later i grew 5 inches and now stand 6'4. I guess now i have regain my self-esteem and now feel more confident among my friends and in general, life. But i know i should be thankful of my height but i find it in a way kind of find it degrading as now i sort of hunch around my shorter friends and most of the time wear shoes with hardly any lifts and think about just being abit shorter.

I am 6ft and i mostly love being tall but when I was younger I occasionally felt less feminine than smaller ladies. Boys always went for the smaller, cuter girls. Some people would make fun, and that was sometimes upsetting. And its also hard getting shoes/clothes in my size - I have to buy shoes from specialist shops.

But as you get older (I am 34 this month) you worry less about what others think about you physically. I dont think I am conscious of it at all any more, it just me! I like my height, always have (i liked the way clothes looked on me, like having a higher perspective). I think I just wished other people had been more accepting of my height when I was a teen.

I am 5ft 5in. and taller than 8 of my sisters and my mother, but slightly shorter than one sister. Most of the females around me growing up seemed so small when I hugged them, and I always felt big in an awkward way. My 6 brothers are only 5ft 7, and so was my dad, and now my boys are very short for their age. I have a 13 year old son that wears size 8, and a 8 yr.old son that wears size 6.

For me, I always heard how being petite was the best, so I wasn't proud of my height until now. I can carry a little more weight than my sisters, they look dumpy if they gain 10 lbs, but on me you wouldn't notice it as much. My husband is 6 ft, so I'm perfect to him.

It does not matter how tall you are.I believe it's a self esteem your dealing with. Think positive. Your as tall as what ever it is you have to deal with. And you have to look up to see where your going an who's coming just in case you have to get out there way.Hold your beautiful head up and look at everything head on that's sometimes the best way to deal with things. Me am 5"6 less or more.

My wife is 5'1". She raises horses and often works with breeds like Percherons and Clydesdales. Her deft handling of these giants is just awesome. She often transports the horses to other breeders and owners. Once, two men, at a rest stop, tried to rob her. She emptied her snub .357 revolver at them. They fled in a car so she never did find out if she hit them, wouldn't be surprised, she is scary accurate with that gun.
Sharon has never let her size dictate her accomplishments. She is an accomplished equestrian rider, a tough business woman, a formidable competitor. She once told me she looks up to no one and expects no one to look down on her.

I'm 5'9" but my mother and her sisters are all 5" or under, come out to Maine, the French population out here is not very tall, you'd fit right in.

6'2". Yep, it does affect how I feel, but generally in a good way. Does mean that sometimes I assume I'm safer than I really am though.
