Its OK to have links for natural remedies, but what I liked the most and I learned a lot from it was this book,
http://www.amazon.com/Prescription-Nutritional-Healing-Practical-Supplements/dp/0895297272
But you can buy it from any health food store, and you have it handy whenever you need it.

Herbal Medicines were original medicine. We have started chemically extracting medicines from herbs or through chemical reaction between components. For example Pencillin was extracted from pencillin plant leaf.Reserpin a medicine is extracted from sarpahandhi or serpentina.Ultimately whether it is from herb or chemical reaction, the medicine is the same.In herbs the medicine content may be small and so less harmful. Some of the herbs used for impotency has got side effects. No medicine is 100 percent safe.

Royal jelly is great for just bout anything! I'm a firm believer. Also use vitex and Don Quai for hormonal balance and relief of PMS.Pure Herbs LTD has a lot of great combinations all ready for specific maladies and they are the purest liquid form.
Keep on going with the alternatives!

It's disheartening to see Gabriell's suggestion above of the book "Prescription for Natural Healing" by Balch and Balch. This is one of the worst books in print on natural medicines.

"Phyllis Balch is listed as as "Certified Nutritional Consultant" who received her certification from the American Association of Nutritional Consultants (AANC). Trouble is, anyone can be certified by the AANC by paying a $50 fee and written an open book exam based on quacky books.

From a scientific viewpoint, the book's advice is loony from beginning to end, but the dietary supplement industry loves it because it enables retailers to refer their customers to an "authoritative" source of advice for nearly every problem the customer may have."

Yes I to am a believer what I learned over the years is
that you have to make sure that the herbs are not harmful contaminants including heavy metals lead, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, dioxins and PCBs.

make sure the company has
· Raw material supplier qualification program:
they test their ingredients and after before packaging
to make sure it does not have any germs
I found one company so far their name is Shaklee

Probably the best single site is
http://www.henriettesherbal.com
run by Finnish herbalist Henriette Kress.
This has lots of links, scans of classic herbal texts, pictures and lots of other good stuff.

Well for a commercial service you could try nativeremedies.com they offer all sorts of herbal products. It's kind of reverse engineering but you can lean a lot about what's being offered.
