True. I can't recall - probably love or breakup songs when my husband and I went through a painful seperation. At times, I could feel the "lump" in the back of my throat, and would turn on a love song so I could cry and get it out of my system. On the other hand, music can be very inspiring and encouraging. Right before I have a meeting or another task that I need energy and enthusiasm for, I turn on Kenney Chesney's song "Big Star". It always gets me motivated and ready to start the day!

True - when I ran sound from an all-ages club, I recorded hundreds of bands. 99.9% of them don't exist any more, and some of them actually died. Listening to some of the tracks that will never be heard by the public from a dead 14-16 year old songwriter pretty much does the trick for me. Many of the songs suck, or are rough, but some could have been produced and developed.
I dont' cry to corporate, published stuff though.

True; it totally depends on whats going on in my head at the time, but a few are 4 in the morning by Gwen Stefani, She's Everything by Brad Paisley, I Wonder by Kellie Pickler it makes me think of my daughter that won't talk to me for the past couple of months, I miss her so much.
There's so many more that have made me cry, actually to many to count.

There is a slip in wording the question. Crying is a negative deed and involving and immersing so deep that you forget yourself is a positive response.
So if one cries listening to a song it means that he is weeping after listening to the song.
Many songs make us involve with tears in eyes inadvertently and with out effort.
The feeling continues for some time and we become stayed there like statue in that deep mental state.
So with the above analysis, I say the statement is false, to have cried.

True. But at the moment I'm very pregnant and that makes me very emotional.
"I Will Follow You Into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie makes me tear up almost every time I hear it.
"The River" by Garth Brooks makes me cry because my good friend sang it at her mom's funeral.
"I'll wait for you" by Joel Nichols makes me cry just THINKING about it. It was played at my uncle's funeral early this year.
