What is the best way to burn songs from my cd collection?

I want to make mixed cds from the cds that I own. I have a laptop macbook, is there software I need to buy? Or I am better off just buying a cd recorder?

if your macbook had a CDR, just rip the CDs/songs you want to your computer using iTunes. then create a playlist and put the songs for the mix CD into the playlist, then burn it to a blank CD.

All you have to do is open Windows Media Player, iTunes, or whatever you use, and rip the songs off the CDs. Then insert a blank CD(s) and burn it onto them.
