A trouble code on my truck came up as saying it was running too lean on bank 1. I know what running lean means, but what is bank 1?

You need to see which cylinder is #1, odd numbers are one side of the engine, and even numbers are on the other side of the engine. Bank 1 is on the side where cylinder #1 is, also for future referance bank 2 would be on the opposite side where cylinder #2 is.

Bank 1 is most likely on the left side. Since you didn't say which sensor, your exhaust is set up with a collector pipe and each sensor Bank 1 and 2 is prior to the collector. Since it's a V6, follow the piping and look for each sensor.

That is the location of the sensor. Either driver's side of passenger side, don't remember which one. What car? Make and model?
