We know all about her coochie-baring, her topless episode w/ the girl in the pool, her boys holding hands in the back seat while she was driving, her fender-bender, etc. But what happened in Iraq yesterday, if anything?

The world want to keep things hidden from us, Britney don't!
Besides, who gives a rats a__ about Britney. She do not pay my bills and probably not her own!

I don't watch much TV. My husband says that I'll be the one stuck or caught because I don't show interest in the News! No, I've had ten (10) children out of my body but two (2) others were given me. Do you think I have time for anything else? I had two sets of twins, one set boys and the other girls. Six boys and six girls is what I have! WOW!
I had two sons in the Military. One was in the Navy (he signed for 4 years), the other was in the Air-Force. He is now on Reserve but he went to Afghanistan and Jordon. They almost sent him to Iraq. I was happy they didn't! This senseless war should be winding up! The president would not send his girls over there!

Britney is the media's favorite train-wreck that is why she is always on TV for her embarrassing antics. We barely hear anything about what's important because some of us are drawn to her being not so perfect. It makes us appreciate how lucky we are to not be her. Which is not really a common thing to happen between common folks and entertainers or famous people. Most of the time us common peeps want to be as rich as they are or as popular. Some want to be like them. With her it's different. She might be famous in a funny and weird way now, but I doubt a lot would want to be like her now.

Very good question.

While I understand your point, and agree that the media coverage of such so called 'celebrities' is excessive, I don't quite agree with your wording. I pay far more attention to current world, national and local events/issues than I ever have to any Hollywood gossip/affairs. I guess it boils down to..if people stop watching/reading/ buying the crap..the 'media' would stop reporting it. (Advertisers of shows/mags would stop paying for space and that is the bottom line)

But that's like asking Paris Hilton to just go away. Ain't gonna happen anytime soon. And yes..that IS sad.

You know, the truth is that we "know" very little about Britney Spears. We only know what the tabloid press reports, and anyone with half a brain knows that's largely not true. There is usually just enough truth to it to keep from being sued, but still, no one actually knows all there is to know about Ms. Spears. And if the press would leave her alone, STRICTLY alone, she might get off the publicity horse and get help for her problems. Because this young lady does have problems.

I know it is digusting that the news, well more the entertainment news is spotlighted on here than what's going on in Iraq, what new medical discoveries, scientists have discovered and the crack down on crime.

I honestly do not have an answer as to why the news lately is centered on her life which isn't that important and eventhough I'm not a fan of her, I wish she was left alone because I don't believe the media is helping her recover.

Feck off thumb-downing trolls!

Heh excuse my language.

You are so right. I think we really have our priorities mixed up. When a a bunch of very large adult men are paid unrealistic salaries to play a little boys game (football, baseball, basketball, etc.pro sports in general and many times little boys play it better) but we pay our police officers, firemen, nurses, teachers, etc. next to nothing something is very wrong. I say, " Britney, I've seen boobs so put 'em back and grow up!"

I suppose some would say, "Britney is Hot, the World is Not." But then again, that's avoiding the whole global warming issue, not to mention Britney has two kids now...

I think a lot of people are also sick of hearing the same old
stuff just a different day about Irag.
yeah, yeah another car exploded killing x amount.
More soldiers died from this or that.
It's so far from my everyday life I don't pay attention.

Well, I actually haven't been paying any attention to Britney, and didn't know half of this til you wrote it down. The news we process is the news we choose to hear or read about.

Here's a tip - stay AWAY from American news sources, and read/research world news sources. They are very informative. Such as BBC, etc.
