Press the CTRL + PrtScr key (Next to F12) to capture the Desktop (ALT + PrtScr to capture the current window) to the Clipboard, then, open Programs > Accessories > Paint (or WordPad), select Edit > Paste.

or it may be FN and PrtSc at teh same time
depends upon the manufacturer!
if you have lets say a blue FN key and PrtS (Print Screen) is blue, you have to hold down the FN keyt and press PrstSc at the same time
then you can press CRTL+V to paste it into an application like Paint or MS Word

print screen button grabs a screen shot and ALT+ print screen grabs the content of the window in focus. then open paint or similar prog and just paste it in and save
