Perhaps, but not a ton of them. It seems like most of the bands that I am a fan of are driven mostly by one or two individuals who do most of the heavy lifting. The best example I can think of would be the members of Bauhaus. They all had solo releases with the exception of the drummer Kevin Haskins. As for other bands that haven't done it but should, hmmmm. All the members of Sonic Youth could pull this off. Thurston Moore already does solo albums.

There's not a group where I'd like to see EVERY member put out a solo album, but there are a few who have multiple members worthy of going solo. I think both Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington from Linkin Park could make good solo records. I guess Mike kinda did with the whole Fort Minor thing. I think Tool members Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones and Danny Carrey could do some cool stuff on their own, especially if Adam and Danny's stuff was just long instrumental songs.

The KISS Solo albums. Ace had a hit single of a cover, but none of the albums did that well. I guess they went gold but they're not a favorite...
I guess you could say the Eagles have already done this.. they got back together in 94 and still did both.
Some, if not all of Tool have side projects.
Genesis, all of them have worked on solo projects. and still kept the band together.
I think everyone in Pearl Jam has done a side project by now.

very good question. nicely, no longer completely, yet there is yet another undertaking for each individual in Pavement: Steve Malkmus - Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks (and the Crust Brothers, and a couple of Silver Jews data) Scott Kanenberg - the Preston college of industry Mark Ibold - unfastened Kitten Steve West - Marble Valley (and a pair Silver Jews data) Bob Nostanovich - a pair Silver Jews data Gary youthful - Gary youthful's Ambulance BA: Steve Malkmus' solo stuff is greater valuable than PSI or Marble Valley, and that i haven't heard Ambulance. The Silver Jews, quite those 2 data that featured 60% of Pavement, are very good. I nevertheless like Malkmus' solo stuff, yet those data actually make me think of roughly it. i'm no longer a unfastened Kitten guy. I sampled a sprint of it and it extremely is high-quality, yet i'm no longer likely a Kim Gordon as a vocalist guy an impressive proportion of the time and that i merely can no longer particularly do it. BA2: i might prefer to assert so. there is extremely a high quality to them as a unit it particularly is misplaced in Malkmus' solo artwork, even though it is likewise merely diverse. i might desire to need Pavement by utilising basically a sprint, even though it extremely is not elementary to assert what's greater valuable. it extremely is diverse and there's a variety of magic to the band, even though it extremely is merely no longer elementary to assert. i for my area have not been wowed in any respect by utilising something different than the Silver Jews and the Jicks. you may desire to incredibly much seem on the Pixies besides. you will possibly might desire to count variety Dave Lovering's variety of mad scientist act (it particularly is extremely good by utilising the way), and that i haven't heard the Martinis (nonetheless i've got been advised they don't seem to be that super, ok, no longer super), yet i might say which you will count variety me between people who love the Pixies and are happy they chop up. i admire the Breeders, i admire the Amps and that i think of that Frank Black's solo artwork is (a minimum of up by using canines interior the Sand and a few scattered tracks afterwards, and that i by no potential particularly have been given into the Cult of Ray) merely staggering. i think of their run had ended anyhow and we've been given much greater staggering song out of them going their very own methods. *************** as much as I savor the solo artwork, i think of the Beatles have been plenty greater desirable than the sum of their factors.

All the members of The Beatles did this but mostly after the group broke up. Both John Lennon and George Harrison released solo albums while the group was still together.

I honestly can't think of any other band that I enjoy where every member of the band has the chops to pull off a solo album.

The members of Rush would do well solo
Alex Lifeson's "Victor" release in the mid 90's still tends to get alot of playtime by me.
