I don't think you can beat Richard Pryor. He was a natural born comic. His humour grew out of the abusive home life he experienced as a child. I just had to keep reminding myself not to watch him with the kids. But, he was funny beyond belief. He was one of a kind.

George Carlin is hilarious. I love his quote..."Most people dont know what they're doing and a lot of them are really good at it." His whole piss on it way of looking at things just cracks me up. I dont really consider him "older" though :)
