Yellow light in my room in the night?

I went to bed around midnight, but woke up around 3am. Curtains were closed. My room was dark. No any lamp or light source was on. It couldn't be a reflection. I was laying on my bed and I saw that yellow light was shining in one of the shelf's of my bookcase in the middle of darkness. I left my bed and walked towards it to take a closer look what's going on knowing that there is no any light source on my shelf.

The light was like yellow bulb light (not very strong light) and it didn't had any form. It was shining like a candle on the square shaped shelf, not leaving a shadow anywhere on the shelf. When I turned the room ceiling light on it did disappear. I tested if it would come back if I turn lights off again, but it had gone. The light didn't move around, it just stayed still. I got pretty close to it and I saw that there was nothing extraordinary on the shelf except the light.

This really freaks me out since I don't want to sleep in a same room with this unexplained light.

well.. Someone asked if anyone has died. No one has died, but my friend has been to hospital for long time and this thing doesn't look like an orb since it's not round actually. It's only like shining light. I have seen it once and don't wish to see it again whatever it is.

Last night after it had gone I tried to check all possible sources of light in my small room. It can't be the window since no any light was coming from there and secondary the bookcase is in such angle that window light couldn't make such effect only on the ONE of many shelfs of my book case. I don't have any other lights in my room except table lamp, ceiling lamp and bedside lamp. No leds or anything what could cause this phenomena. I was nervous and afraid of it, but I just went close since I couldn't believe that there is a light on my book case. After seeing it I was terrified for some time, but continued sleeping since I can't change apartment or do anything about it.

My camera was out of battery and I was so amazed that probably I wouldn't even had understood to take a photo.

The person is hospital is my room mate.

I also didn't block the light even I stood exactly in front of it. It seemed to be glowing only in the space inside the shelf. Nowhere else. That's why nit's confusing since I couldn't find out the source of the light.

The light looked like a candle on a shelf, where the light source itself is on a shelf too. It was shining it's light on wall and corner of the shelf (shape: square)

It was really way too bright to be a reflection and there really is no anything in my room what could reflect such phenomena.

She has a severe disease, which needs long treatment. Not coma.

IMy family has been cursed 3 times through it's history. Once by priest on his death bed. My grandmother sees dreams, which come true later and she has been able to see paranormal stuff. She doesn't make money with this or talk about her gift to anyone who is an outsider in the family. According to historical writings and notes there has been plenty of women with such gifts among my foremothers.

Lately she has been seeing dreams related to me, which made her upset for some time. I don't know exactly what she has seen since nowadays we are living in different countries, but it was nothing very scary this time, I guess since she didn't contact me. I just heard about that through a relative.

Also my other family members have experienced many abnormalities, but they have gone through different kind of stuff. No lights or orbs.

I have seen once or twice a dream, which came true later exactly as I saw it. After seeing such a dream one just knows it will become true.

Use your hands and try to find where the light source is by blocking it. If you find from which direction it is coming you should be able to find the source.

I'm in no way educated on the supernatural, outside of what I've learned through pop-culture and Ghostbusters, of course. But now having said that, I think it was that type of "thing". I wouldn't be afraid to sleep in there though. It sounds like a source of good energy or you probably would have felt instant fear and would have avoided the light instead of being drawn to it. IMO. It sounds pretty cool, actually.

Strange, if it happens again take a photo and post it for analysis. I would also check to see if there is a hole or space in the curtains or anywhere or thing that could be a light source.

We have a pale green light on our bedroom floor, but that's from the smoke detector - a very small LED on it.

I'm afraid to ask the long term prognosis of this disease.

Maybe this is her energy.

With it being a yellow light, like a shade of a halo that it's nothing to be scared of. Say a few kind thoughts for her
at night before you sleep. I wish her well.

I'd admit it would probably freak me out a little too but if it's doing no harm, I would not worry.

Our spirits can give off different colors according to our moods in this world. In the spirit world, they take on the color of the dimension they are on. Yellow is above Red and Orange on the spectrum, so I would say it is a good spirit.
If you see a grayish or dark ball of light, that is a lower spirit being. And one needs to not talk to it and keep it around. Might be a good idea to not talk to any spirit and keep it around. Just wish it Love and Peace. Know what I'm saying?

BTW an orb is a sign of unidentified energy. It doesn't necessarily mean you have a spirit in your room.

I believe that Satan exists. And that anything that looks supernatural like that is satanic unless it has a natural explaination.
If you were my daughter I would tell you to ask God for protection. You don't have to belong to a church, just believe that God loves you and will protect you from satan. And ask for protection.
