Now, the answer to your question would depend on desire to be happy in marriage or absence of it. If he is looking for a maid, he truly should hire one ( it would be a cheaper and easier all around arrangement )... However, if he wants to be happy, he should marry for love. I would think both, but I would have to say love for a man is different than a womans love. You have to leave out the "to own" part. So are you saying that men just marry women because of beauty or their homemaking skills? What about for love no matter what? Trophy wives get old and ugly eventually, not too many women I know would allow their husbands to "OWN" them.

I made the mistake before of marrying a woman just to be married. Now Iwill only marry a woman for love, which includes mutual respect.
