It depends. Some women insist in showing off and making other women feel like they weren't worth that much to their partners. Which I think is wrong. Be happy, but don't be an *** and make everyone around you feel jealous about it...

Let me tell you that there are certain women in this world that love big diamonds and flaunt it with brilliance and some brag as well.
So when I got married I bought my wife a three carat diamond ring so she could flaunt it and feel good about what is on her finger.
Two years later she lost it while swimming at Lake Harding.
The ring was never recovered. When they dropped the river down for people to fix their docks I was out there with a $1,000.00 dollar Metal detector and found two rings one cell phone fish hooks, lures, watches, but no wedding ring she lost.
I bought her another ring with a 1/4 carat and she loves it just as much as the original diamond I bought her for our wedding.
To this day she still has that ring and no matter what anybody says, a ring is not the value of thew marriage it's the bond within the ring that symbolizes the marriage and that is all of it in a nut shell.

The truth is, all women want a big ol' diamond. Shallow or not, that's the truth. But while I might admire a friend's big goregous ring, it's also true that a ring from the man I love is way more special, even if it's from a gumball machine. Even if a girl has wanted a huge diamond all her life, once she's met the right guy, the size of the diamond is the least important thing - the important thing is that you're marrying the man you love.

I like simple. I'm not really a ring person. But sometimes I see some big rings and I'm like wow,I wonder if it ever gets in the way. But I don't feel envy b/c I think simple is pretty too.

I never have. All of my rings were purchased by my husband on special occasions, so they are precious to me! I can only assume other women feel the same about their own rings.

Not necessarily. A friend of mine got engaged a few years ago and the ring he bought his fiance was hideous - it was a HUGE rock, but it looked like a cheap trinket; like the Monopoly ring! I wasn't jealous of the ring, I'd've rather had a car for the money he paid for it!

Yes, of course, many times they do. Some women don't care if its large or not, but I think most do. I think the most important thing is the style though. Lots of rings are not large but the setting is absolutely gorgeous and thats very important.

Yes they do
I have a pretty decent ring and when a lady I know saw it, she insisted her husband to be get her a bigger one in the exact same style. Later I heard her say "oh no, it's a cubic zirconia! I'm not paying that much for a ring!"

Yes, some do! I don't care as long as the ring I get is the one I want! (My boyfriend is actually more concerned about the price of the ring because he doesn't want to look cheap!)

No.
I have my own style and I prefer rings that are smaller. As for the cost, that doesn't matter either.
I might admire a friend's ring and think it is beautiful, but I would not be envious over it.
