I do, just because I find it much easier to get the mascara off my lashes. My favorite, hands down, is the Mary Kay eye makeup remover. It doesn't sting or cloud your eyes if you accidentally get some in there.
Edit - nosey, eekk! Be careful rubbing the eyes - that skin is so fragile!!

I use the make up remover to get rid of my eye make up, because it's pretty impossible to get it off with just a normal face wash and you definitely don't want to leave that on there all night. But then (if im wearing foundation for some weird reason, usually I don't) I wash everything else with my normal facial scrubs.

I think it depends on your skin type... using too many cleansers can dry out your skin, which can lead to dryness, acne, etc. (yeah, ironic, overwashing can cause acne... weird, right?) And sometimes combining cleansers (alpha-hydroxys, acne treatments) can make your skin sting.
What I do is wash with whatever cleanser I like best, (some people need cleansers for sensitive skin, or oily skin, etc. I like Neutrogena) then dry my face with a white towel. If it turns colors, I know I didn't get all the makeup off... the only thing I ever use a separate makeup remover for is eye makeup.

I always wash my face first with Clinique Mild Cleanser and then use a gentle eye makeup remover with a soft tissue, and then afterwards, I use a toner to make sure I removed all impurities and dirt.

I use an eye make-up remover as mascara is always hard to remove. Then a facial wash after that a good moisturizer.
Make sure to always use one morning and night as it might not show now but as you get older the benefits of having used one will truly be worth the effort..

If the makeup remover involves rubbing your skin (especially around the eyes), it is not recommended. The skin around your eyes is already delicate and prone to wrinkles, if you forcefully rub it with cotton/fingers, every day, it will speed up appearance of wrinkles. You may not care now, but once in your 30s, you will care.
There are good face washes available that remove makeup (even eye), without excessively rubbing and stretching the skin. Olay is one. Read Paula Begoun books for more tips, will change your life.

yes, its better to do that. how will you be able to cleanse your face by just removing make up? a SA at clinique told me that washing your face with makeup is like taking a shower with your clothes on. you have to remove the make up with a makeup cleanser AND THEN cleanse your face from all that residue/impurities.
make sure to use a cleanser that suits your skin type.
a cleanser too strong can irritate the skin. and a cleanser too mild won't do anything at all.

Washing your face does honestly take your makeup off to three degree, yet residue is in many cases left in the back of with maximum makeup varieties (noticeably in case you place on it thick). makeup remover are designed to break down and rinse away chemical components that common cleansing soap isn't designed to do. even although, scrubs in many cases artwork just to boot, and in case you chase it with purifier you in all probability do no longer choose any makeup remover. Toner cleanses the outdoors of your pores and skin to boot because of the fact the guy pores, making them shrink (shrinking makes them much less seen and greater proof against oil and airborne dirt and dirt)

I use Oil of Olay facial wash & nothing else. After thoroughly washing my face, I apply Oil of Olay Complete. It's a great moisturizer to use at bedtime & especially before applying makeup.

I do because my face wash stings when it gets in my eyes and I wear waterproof mascara. My favorite eye makeup remover is Bare Eyes from Bare Essentials. http://www.ulta.com/control/bare_id_product/~product_id=2094070
