AD=BC
2x+y=12
DC=AB
3x-y=sqrt(20^2-12^2)
=sqrt(16^2)
=16

(2x+y)+(3x-y)=12+16
5x=28
x=28/5

y=BC-2x
=12-56/5
=4/5

First find AB by the pythagorean theorem (sqrt (20^2 - 12^2))
This equals DC which is 3x-y, and BC which is12 equals AD which is 2x + y, so write those two equations and eliminate one of the variables (y will be easy to eliminate).

AD=BC so 2x+y=12
AB=sqrt(400-144)=16= 3x-y
so
2x+y=12
3x-y=16
sum
5x=28 so x= 28/5 and y= 84/5-80/5=4/5

x^x + y^y ? x^y + y^x If the equality component is inspected then the equation could be written (x^x - x^y) - (y^x - y^y) = 0 Which has the answer x = y (notice : the answer x = y = 0 isn't allowed) The Inequality fact could be written :- (x^x - x^y) > (y^x - y^y) it rather is sparkling that the answer to this inequality happens while x > y and x >a million hence the preliminary fact is valid provided x ? y and x > a million

AC = BD
AB = CD

20 = 3x - y
12 = 2x+ y

x = 32/5
y = -4/5
