a saxophone may cause sore fingers or lips from your umbechure but it won't cause cold sores. The cold sore virus is a part of the Herpes Simplex 1 virus. And it CAN be transmitted to other places like your eyes, nose and genitals. So becareful not to touch it and then rub your eyes because it could become VERY painful. Any mucosal membrane can feel the effects of a cold sore, so always make sure you wash your hands and leave that sucker alone! Oh and don't share chapstick, etc. with other people, they don't want your sores!

cold sores are caused by the herpes virus. maybe playing the sax kind of irritated your lips allowing the virus to pop out. However I am more inclined to believe that your body is fighting of some minor infection or ailment and is in a slightly weakened state which allows the virus to erupt. The good news is that a few days on Acidophillus will fix you right up. Ask your pharmacist or your health foods store for it, or for Lactinex. Lactobaccillus suppresses the herpes virus and sometimes will clear up the cold sore pronto. I take it at the first sign of a tingle and usually never go ahead and develop a cold sore. Good luck.

Not directly, but any injury to oral tissues or other severe stressor can cause the onset of an outbreak. What causes the sore is Herpes Simplex virus. See links for details. The young lady is confused, Herpes zoster, or shingles, is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox. After an episode of chickenpox, the virus becomes dormant in the body. Herpes zoster occurs as a result of the virus re-emerging after many years. See link three. If you have a cold sore and play your sax while you have it, you may want to disinfect, or discard and change, your reed, as it may harbor the virus from having been in your mouth.

I agree with Wes's Granny. It could be a cold sore. The herpes virus can remain dormant in the body for years. Stress on the body (and in this case on a particular area) can cause it to come to the fore. I suffered for years with cold sores, there is nothing i dont know about them! Try Choraphor and/or lemon balm. The choraphor will dry it up and you shouldnt get an outbreak again:-) And of course, stop playing until you are fully healed.

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/Herpestreatment2015QF0u

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Infection occurs when you are exposed to the virus by contact with fluids containing herpes virus from an infected person. Simple things like kissing, sharing of utensils and drinks, and not washing hands after touching blisters can result in the spread of HSV to others and cause infection.
It's not your Sax. It'd be some thing else.

Also Chicken pox does not cause cold sores. Nor Herpes in any form.

Vitamin C makes your immune system work better, so it's less likely for you to catch a simple cold. (After all, cold may be caused by dozens of viruses; some are more easily handled by the body than the others.) Flu, on the other hand, demands a greater work from the immune system, that of which, Vitamin C may not be enough. So to answer yuor question, YES Vitamin C is related with preventing and/or curing CERTAIN 'simple' diseases. But dont expect to get well with just vitamin C alone. Good luck to you too. My girlfriend has one now, actually,
