hmm.. I notice lots of movies that I will absolutely love.. until the end.. and then I'm like.. oh what the hell..
One that comes to mind is Perfume: Story of a Murderer.. they should have ended it where you see the daughter on the bed.. but they went on and added this STUPID orgiastic scene that is downright laughable.. It took away the feeling from the rest of the movie..

The Forgotten~I'm not sure what they were thinking with this script that sort of leaves you *splat*! It definitely was the script because the performances were good, and they had cool effects when people went ZAP into the sky. Then, it had such a blah ending.
Lady in the Water~The big buildup to the giant eagle fell flat! They showed a relection of it! That should have been the major moment! What the heck?! It was a big cheat. I'm not sure why I expect anything different from MNS. After all, The Sixth Sense telegraphed the ending, just as The Village did.
Signs~While I'm on the subject of MNS... This alien race invades a planet it's obviously been observing, yet it's clueless about precipitation! At least the Martians had an excuse, not knowing what microorganisms would do. Besides, it was too much like Day of the Triffids, mutated creatures that were defeated with seawater! It's a very lame movie that I really was determined to like. To me, everything was wrong about it; coincidental bits have to be treated as if they're not obvious. Maybe he should have watched Tom Tryon's The Other a dozen times before writing his script.
No, I don't dislike this writer/director completely. His films have good moments. Maybe after he has some more films under this belt...
I can't think of any others right now except for all of Wicker Man! What were they thinking?! Don't remake a film unless you can match it or make it better! The main thing should be to establish the man's virtuous nature, his actual holier than thou attitude although Howie, in the original, wouldn't consider himself that. It's Summerisle~not Summer's Isle or whatever! I detest when they take a classic horror film and "fix" it! Shame on Nicolas Cage, who also co-produced this! What were they thinking?! (Sorry. I had to say it again since I'm watching it right now.)

Forrest Gump. Jenny didn't have to die. It's a great but pretty sad movie. They could have given it a happy ending at least.

don't think much of the actors could make the different, it is the script, unfortunately.

Stardust...
The ending where the witch pretends to let them leave, but then SHOCKER decides that she's still going to kill them. poorly acted, and very predicatble...I left the theatre slightly annoyed
