I'm 30 years old and I wear a 40DD bra. I really don't think that is my true size, but it does fit ok. I'm not a big person. I wear 11/12 in pants, size 5/6 in underwear, so my breasts are really too big for the rest of my body. I get the rashes underneath, the shoulder scars and the back pain, etc. I have been considering breast reduction surgery for years now. Large breast run in my family. My sister has had the surgery. I would like to hear of any personal experiences, good, bad and ugly.

I had a breast reduction done last year. I was 42DD now I'm a 40C. It was the best thing I ever did. I had all the same problems you had. My surgery only required a 24 hour hospital stay and I had minimal pain. I have 2 insurances and between the 2 of them they covered 100% of all the costs. So you should contact your insurance co. to see what they need to cover all or some of the costs. Good Luck

I had mine done Feb 2006 and do not regret it one bit. I was in the hospital operating room for three hours and stayed overnight. My pain was GONE immediately when I woke in the recovery room.

My scars took about three months to fully close due to a slight complication because of something stupid I did, I regained nipple sensation about the same time as well. Final size was also around that time frame, though any of those things can take up to or over a year to regain.

I went from a 38J to a 38C and do not regret it one bit. If I had to do it again I would.

My insurance company covered it 100% ($8,000). I had an excellent PS that I'd recommend if you are in Northern Virginia part of the US.

As I'm sure you know from experience, large breasts can lead to strained back muscles and back pain because the back compensates for the weight on the front of the body. Large breasts can also cause skin infections and irritations under the fold of the breast. Overly large breasts can also make a woman feel self-conscious and insecure, since she may be subject to unwanted attention. Mammoplasty can be helpful for all of these situations.

Breast reduction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
