I am 67, but look 53 and my girlfriend is 34 & does not act 34. My problem is that sometime I am asked if that is my daughter and that is a big insult to me. What do you say to someone who ask that question? I have never even had a daughter and I think it is rude of them to ask and I feel like telling them so.

You are 33 years older; basically twice her age. (Even if you looked 53, that would still make you 19 years older which would be far more than is traditional)...

Its more logical for people to assume that she would be your daughter than your girlfriend... I don't see why you would be insulted unless they did more than merely inquire about her relation to you...

just ignore them, there's alot of naive/stupid people. just a way of making a conversation. ask them "does she look like me" then say i never had a daughter. i hate people asking random questions just to start aconversation.
