TheThames when it's dusk with a red sunset to the west.
or Glen Coe on a frosty day or the Cullins Mountains in the Autumn sunlight.

Old father Thames takes a lot of beating though. Just bought Peter Ackroyds new book about the Thames. Wonderful book enough to make you weep if you love London and the Thames.

I think Richmond Park in the autumn is absolutely stunning and some of the Georgian squares around Mayfair, Knightsbridge and Kensington take some beating. Sitting just in front of the Royal Observatory, looking down over the National Maritime museum at Greenwich and then across the whole city is pretty breathtaking.

The houses of Parliament and Big Ben,more stunning at night when it's all lit up.On a dark night it gives off a warm orangy glow, as a child out in the dark it always used to feel comforting walking past it.
