I have a stamp that was issued Feb. 22,1966 and reissued Nov. 17 1967. I have a first day of issue stamp on the envelope that also covers the stamp of Feb, 22 1982 this is a huge difference in date and was wondering if I could get some advice as to its value, or know of anyone who specializes in first day of issue stamps. I can't find anyone in my area that can or will help me. thanks

obviouse that i don't ask too many questions on line. i will try to clarify myself (sorry). the stamp is a USA stamp and it is number 1283. it has a postmark on it that states the stamps first day of issue is 1982. the actual first day of issue is 1966. so the postmark is wrong on the stamp. hope this helps thanks again for any help

Here is a site that you can look up stamp information. Collect gb stamps. http://www.collectgbstamps.co.uk/ . You didn't specify what country the stamp is from so I am unclear on what you specifically want information on.

Good Luck

Kind of a confusing question. It sounds like all three stamps are on the same envelope. This would most likely make it a custom-made first day cover made by a collector and the value would be tiny. Obviously the first two stamps you mention are related to each other. Probably the 1982 issue is similar to the others in subject, making the trio an understandable combo for a FDC. If the postmark is the correct day for the 1982 stamp, then this is when it was created, and there is no 'difference in date'. The older stamps are just along for the ride, but they still must have a cancellation on them.

Go to your local newsstand and buy a copy of Linn's Stamp News and look through the classified ads for FDC dealers.
