Can you, please, give me some examples of movies that plot-driven, and others that are setting-driven?

Plot driven.. The Departed, Good Shepard..


Setting Driven: Rose Red, the house is essential for the plot.. The Shipping News has a plot that revolves around the Newfoundland weather.. Newfoundland is a character in and of itself.

and just because it feels incomplete without this.. (ignore at your leisure :)

Character driven ones: 10 Items or Less, clerks.. these are ones where there is little to no real plot line.. it is mainly dialog between 2 or more characters.

Well, just think about it....a movie like "World Trade Center" would be setting driven (i.e. the entire movie centers around a central location) Whereas Star Wars is plot driven (i.e. the movies center around a person or group of people) Hope that helps!
