U are pregnant, they ask u about the first time of u last period. I'm confuse why they ask u that, if u can't get pregnant when u had a period.

They ask that because most women know at least approximately when the date of their last period was instead of asking when you ovulated because most women don't know when they ovulate. They then can figure out about when you did ovulate (2 weeks after) and then they can figure out your due date. This is just a guess and they'll be able to tell better at your first ultrasound.

That's how they date your pregnancy before an ultrasound can provide more exact information. Full-term pregnancy is 40 weeks from the first day of your last period...which means that they consider you pregnant for two weeks longer than you really are. Conception doesn't usually occur until around the 14th day of your cycle, two weeks after the first day of your last period.

because they consider the first day of your last period before you get pregnant to be the first day of your pregnancy...

You know i wondered that too and it still really doesn't make that much since to me but it helps them better estimate when your due date is.
