We (America) are a peaceful and democratic nation, we believe in everyone has the right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, we believe in equal rights and giving people the freedom to do whatever they want... now let us into your country, give us all of your resources, let us exploit your country, surrender your arms, dismantle your military, let us build our military bases on your soil or face the consequences. Don't forget we have nukes, we already nuked the Japs twice because they wouldn't yield are you sure you don't want to let us in?

US foreign policy = We make the rules

Right now our foreign policy is purposely using the terms "terrorism" and "war on terror" to justify actions which do little or nothing to stop it. The real problem is not "terrorism" it is Islamic fundamentalism and the clash of civilizations. Militiary action does nothing to solve the problem and by all accounts makes the problem worse.

A good summary of the conservative version would be ---

"Shut up, work in our sweatshops, or we'll bomb you."

"Follow your leaders (who we own), and if you don't, we'll bomb you."

"If your leaders start to show any independence, we will use whatever crimes they committed when they worked for us as an excuse to bomb you."

"Don't try to hold us to the standards to which we hold you. If you do, and act in any way against us, we will bomb you."

The LIBERAL version is the same, except they'll give a little foreign aid in between bombings.

Without bombs, there IS no U.S. foreign policy.

Neocon Trotskist agenda of spreading democracy like a plague.
It is a smoke screen to cover the same neocolonialist imperialist policy of grabbing all available resources.

The majority seems to prefer other countries being in charge. Do they just want to stay home and ignore the rest of the world?
