I am not sure if Verizon offers antivirus or not but I can tell you that you can get a free anti virus that is pretty good from AVG.
It is at this link:

Take the MSN Premium option from Verizon.
Verizon w/ MSN Premium will provide you free:
McAfee VirusScan
McAfee Personal Firewall
Webroot SpySweeper
along with some other nice non-security stuff like Microsoft Digital Image Suite. And you don't have to use the crappy MSN Browser, either.
About a $100 a year in free security software, a great deal that I have had for years.
The only virus protection that Verizon itself will provide will cost you $5.00 a month and is not worth it.
BTW. some have suggested that you use AVG... DON"T. AVG has horrible virus detection rates.
Good luck.

verizon has antivirus antispy/ad anti spam and parental control but no firewall goole verizon online protection. As long as you have a user account if you can get it for free.I don't no how well it works It's put out by Computer associates software so check out some reviews. There's alot of free software that does well alot of folks use avg or avast avira is also good check them out at download.com spywareblaster and ad aware or a squared is good protection against spy/adware All three work well together, but only get one antivirus.zone alarm is a good firewall that's also free Don't let the free part turn you away they truly work millions use them.

AOL had a bad run a while ago, but I think they are OK now. Yahoo have an anti virus but I think you need to down load their toolbar. one toolbar (Google) is enough and as he said AVG free is as good a scanner as most people need
