The family still owns and controls the team. I doubt there will be any change.

Yes, there are many feuds among the various Wirtz members. Peter had been running the day to day operations of the team for 10 years or so (I retired from the organization in 1997 and Peter was in charge moreso than Bill) and the Hawks had a breakfast the day before the funeral where I talked with Peter and Jeremy Roenick and Peter talked like he would be the one taking over. The surprising thing to me is that Arthur, William, and Peter are hockey fans (but business does come first) and Rocky wasn't as much a fan.

The family members all have equal ownership still, just a different Wirtz is in charge. I eagerly await the changes, although I don't expect any

Not this year. Contracts and TV schedules are already set for the season.

In the past, Peter Wirtz has indicated that he would put the home games on TV if he were in charge. It also was widely assumed he would take over the team once Bill was gone, but Peter suddenly resigned from the Hawks last week to concentrate on the Bismark Catering business and Rocky Wirtz is now in charge of the Blackhawks. I have no idea what his views are on home games and TV.

It does seem fishy (family feud?) that Peter Wirtz abdicated his position with the Hawks so quickly.

If the Wirtz estate changed their mind and agreed to allow games to be televised, they'd still be faced with finding a carrier to broadcast the games. Assuming they did not burn all the bridges by denying this service in the past, I guess it is possible, but not likely to happen in the near future. They seem to think cable or pay per view is in their best interest. My guess is they did some research to determine this.

Well i belive that it is up to the Wirtz family, cause as far as i know Bill wasn't the only Wirtz involved with the Blackhawks organization.

I could be wrong, but this dude named "Like im telling you" will give you a good answer.
