No way. Is this real? I mean really real? First, while I was reading about it I saw her turning counter-clockwise from the corner of my eye. Then, when I looked at her I saw her turning clock-wise. Then, I concentrated and she turned counter-clockwise.
Is it just the site that's turning her, or my brain?
Totally confused and weirded out - but star for you!
**EDIT**
Okay, NOW i get it. If you look at it, and see it going counter-clockwise, take a moment to read the directions. This is turn puts your mind into right-brain thinking and if you look at her again, really quickly, your brain will still be in this 'mode' and you can see her turning clockwise.
Too cool!
**EDIT**/**EDIT**
This is NOT bogus. I actually forwarded this to a group of Internal Auditors who are known for trying to debunk everything, then went downstairs to watch it with them. At first, people thought it was a set of cw and ccw spins from 1 to 30 set on an ascending and descending pattern (CGI), but then we all started seeing different things at the very same time.
This may be the best question I’ve seen on here. Thanks for sharing.

WOW.
I concentrated for about 10 minutes and I could only see it rotating clockwise (I'm left handed, so no surprise there). A lot of people might look at this and only see it counter-clockwise and not see how it could be the other way around, but I swear it does go both ways!
I was able to see it rotating counter-clockwise by blocking out all but the center of the image with my hands and then watching the dancers knees for a couple of minutes and then viewing the whole image.
This totally deserves a star. :-)
edit* Ah hah! Now I think I understand how this image works.
It's perspective: It depends if you are seeing it from top-down or viewing from beneath.

I cant get it to change direction! It's counter-clockwise for me!
odd though as I always thought left-handed people used the right side of the brain!
edit: tried it again when I showed it to my son and it was clock-wise! Now I'm really confused but the right brain readings are definately more me!

At first the figure seemed to be turning in a clockwise direction but each time I looked away and then back, the direction appeared to change. The accompanying article gave no explanation for this so I was left feeling 'sea sick' for nothing!

I saw it going counter clock-wise...I couldn't see it going clock-wise at all, no matter what...but the right-brain functions describe me more than the left ones do...could my epilepsy have anything to do with this? hmmm...food for thought for me...thanks, that was very interesting :-)

Completely clockwise no matter what I do. I am baffled as to how some people see it going anti clockwise though as her right hand comes around first every time. Wierd! Have to show this to friends to see if anyone sees different. Cool

that was sweet!!! for the first minute i watched it it seemed to me that the dancer went counter clockwise on the right side then clockwise on the left which must prove somehow that i'm demented... but then i got it to where i could completely spin it either way... very cool... great mind workout...
