At least 2 million Africans--10 to 15 percent--died during the infamous "Middle Passage" across the Atlantic. Another 15 to 30 percent died during the march to or confinement along the coast. Altogether, for every 100 slaves who reached the New World, another 40 had died in Africa or during the Middle Passage.

It's impossible to know how many died since not all slave ships recorded that information. You might be able to find the log of a slave ship somewhere on the internet and see how many they lost. Pay particular attention to the purchase account in Africa and the sales receipt in America. Those are generally more accurate than individual log entries since they had to report that information to the ship's owners.

No way of knowing for sure, since many of them were simply dumped overboard. Some estimates say as many as 300,000.

certainly the Africans enslaved white individuals. that's what the barbary wars have been approximately. in spite of the indisputable fact that i do no longer think of whites have been enslaved in united statesa.. perhaps indentured servants, no longer slaves.
