Nowadays u see that no one's allowed to smoke indoors (aka public places)...
BUT... should it be banned to smoke outdoors? That's a public place too...
like in the front of the building were tens of ppl pass by every minute...
I don't have anything against smokers... other than the fact that I literally can't breathe when the smoke hits my face... n there are numerous times in a day that ppl are walking in front of me n they blow their smoke into my face...
So what's ur opinion?
Should smoking be banned in ALL kinds of public places?

bcz where I come from... drinking, drugs, n stuff like that are already banned...
I'm not saying non-smokers are more important... I'm saying someone like me can NOT breathe when the smoke hits their faces...

As a smoker (boo, hiss) I can perfectly understand your position here, to the point where I am a strong advocate of this country's recent ban on smoking in public places. It does though all come down to rights - the right of an individual to choose not to smoke, as well as the rights of smokers. People who smoke are increasingly being treated as pariahs, hurdled into smoking only areas and limited in their enjoyment of the wicked weed. As a drug addict (exactly what all smokers are), we have to take regular inhalations as part of our addiction. In order to both keep within the law and in an effort not to pollute colleagues' working environments, we go outside in all weathers to feed this addiction. We have no other choice, as our options are being limited all the time.
If you do get smoke blown in your face, that is the result of a drug addict not respecting your space and quite rightly should receive some form of verbal reprimand, but please think about those stood outside trying to get their fix of nicotine. They are just as human too.

While I recognize the unfairness to smokers, I must say as an asthmatic and a non-smoker that I support the ban in SOME public places. I'm from the US (don't know if you're talking about the UK), so here one cannot smoke in restaurants, in some bars at the discretion of the owner, and within 20ft of a public building. I personally find it reasonable. While I understand it's an addiction, I feel that the more limitations placed on smokers the better. It's like letting an alcoholic drink and be rowdy wherever they are, they'll obviously bother someone with their addiction as they will effect others around them. Smoking is becoming more taboo because people are bothered by it. Frankly it stinks and it's an extremely unattractive and unhealthy habit. The more lives we can save by banning it the better. Lung cancer is a terrible thing to live through as it oral cancer, emphasema, and chronic bronchitis. I've watched relatives suffer through the adverse effects of smoking and it's unneccessary to die before your time just for a silly ciggarette.

Slowly that would increase to not being able to smoke in one's one home since the pollution to our environment. So no I think that would be a bad decision to allow the government to control our aspect to smoke in a public environment. If it is outdoors of a private location then as long as the owner has priviledges of the property they can make any decisions. You have the right to avoid the smoke by waking around the person or asking them to smoke away from the doors as it is polite to do so.

Obviously anyone who smokes doesn't think it should be banned. How about this? Is it all right with you if I smoke in my car? My windows won't roll down so you can't possibly get second hand smoke. Why do nonsmokers think they are so much more important than smokers? Why isn't anyone as concerned about drinking and illegal drug use and murderers, etc.?

I am with you. in southern California smoking in the beech been illegal for couple of years now. And in the city of Calabasas a suburb of Los Angeles, smoking in public(including all streets) is banned. Considering the heath hazards, high price and being isolated, it would be very smart to quite smoking.
Best Regards.
