At this point stabilizing Iraq. People can argue all day long about the wisdom of going in but I just want to get things firmed up over there and get out ASAP........

Victory in Iraq! At this point wrong or right is irrelevant. We must secure victory and then IF Bush broke some sort of law or overstepped his boundaries THEN we do what needs to be done according to our laws. We can not afford to be defeated. I would much rather fight the Islamic extremists on foreign soil than to have them attacking us on our own soil again. I would rather not go through the nightmare of another 911 if at all possible.

I really do not care about whether Bush was right or wrong.
I fought in the only war in history where we won every battle but lost the war, the Viet Nam War. We lost over 50,000 good men and women, who gave their lives so that we could be free from Communism. Was this war fought in vain? I do not know.
In Iraq we have lost about 4,000 good young men and women. I have no idea of the number of those who were maimed physically or mentally. If winning is the only way to end the war, then I say end it after winning. Pulling out of this war now would mean all the young people who died and maimed, did so for no reason. If you are going to fight a war, for any reason. That reason can be based on good or bad, truth or lie, or being attacked. I say win it. But win it fast.

Obviously, victory in Iraq. Those are the men and women fighting for our president who made the wrong decision to send them to Hell.

Victory. In the long run, it will be the best for all concerned, the American people and even more importantly, the Iraqi people. Once they have been given the opportunity for self government, then it is up to them to maintain that, and that will require sacrifice on their part. We as a humane people should want to help the less fortunate, and at least give them the chance to taste freedom. In the long term, it will pay back huge dividends.
