Because the louder you play the music the more you can feel it. Music is more than just sounds, it's more about how you feel when you listen to it.
For example, you don't listen to Pantera just because their metal harmonies are very consistent and they are very talented musicians only. You listen to them because you want to ROCK OUT. You want to listen to them very loud, sing along and put your fists in the air.
I think it all comes out to people wanting to rock out. It's a great feeling.

I don't. In fact, I dispise it. It's bad enough during the day. I don't have a prob with playing the music, but come on! What the **** is wrong with ppl, playing it so loud that it can be heard across the neighborhood. Worse, when people play it during the week, especially after midnight. Fine if you don't have to get up for work. Others obviously do. Go out to some club, away from the rest of civilization, especially when it's late at night!

Whenever i'm in a bad mood i love to listen to loud music to drown out what i'm thinking about and sing to the top of my lungs :) it makes me feel better. Other than that ^_^ my music being loud is awesome! I luv it that way ^_^

It is our way to express our feelings and demonstrate that we like good music. The louder it is the more we become addicted to it. If people hear that the music we are listening to is loud, then they will know that we feel the music. I would just say that it is part of us being Music addicts.

oh god i love loud music spicially metal
it is the best when u angry or when u in the car and going speed
