If you live in the United States, there is Medicaid. Go to your local health department and they can sign you up there.
The main restriction for Medicaid is income.

Look up the Department of Human Services in your local phone book. You can arrange an appointment with a social worker who can probably get you some kind of insurance. Medicaid will insure pregnant women who lack insurance. If that is not an option in your state there may be other insurance available to you through DHS. Good Luck!

♥ You could apply for Medicaid and the WIC program, but there are income requirements. Give your state office a call and set up an appointment. Also do you work? Can you get on a group plan [[meaning the company offers insurance coverage through an insurance company and you can take or leave that coverage.]]?
♥ Someone mentioned Anthem Insurance company, but they did not provide any information on them. Here is the website that answers any questions you may have about them :

Good luck!

Actually, insurance companies WILL accept you, but exclude your pregnancy coverage. Says it right there in the booklet. If they are refusing you, it's because you have a medical problem or are obese. If insurance companies have rejected you, it automatically makes you eligible for state insurance if it exists in your state. This insurance is not income based, but based on your inability to get coverage (my sister has it, it's not cheap). You then have the option of getting family coverage for your child or individual coverage for the child. Doesn't have to be through the same person. Blue Cross/Blue Shield charges around $80/mo for insurance for an individual child under 18.

Why don't you try your local health department. Call them tell them your situation, you may qualify for Medicaid for Pregnancy related issues. If you do qualify, you don't pay any premiums every month and you don't have any co-pays. Your baby will then qualify for medicaid until they are 1, covering all your baby's medical costs until then. You do have to qualify by income, but it's worth a try. If you don't, they might be able to help you find an insurance that will accept you.
Good Luck and congratulations on your pregnancy.

I know it sounds horrible, but this is what a family friend who is a Kaiser doctor told me to do when I was in the exact same position. She told me to go online to the insurance website, and fill out their questioner, saying no to everything, including pregnancy. You will be accepted, and once you are you can make an appointment at your OBGYN and tell them you need a pregnancy test. It breaks confidentiality for the doctors to tell the financial advisers, who are the ones accepting and denying you. She also said that your docs will never see that you denied it, because they never see that paperwork, and it's not possible to prove that you knew you were pregnant. I know it's lying, and it's not a good thing to do, but you have to take care of yourself and your baby.

Call the department of health and see if you can get on medicaid. They will usually cover uninsured women during their pregnancy and the baby for one year even if your income is too high to qualify for regular medicaid. It might be easier to get on regular insurance when you are no longer pregnant. But the medicaid can help with the pregnancy expenses.

There is a website called" MaternityCard" they let you know if you qualify for their services, there is also another serivce called, www.pregnancyinsurance.org. If all else fails and you dont feel like you have no other choice or can afford it. Your State should provide help like through Medicaid or other local family planning clinics. Dont be ashamed of applying for help if you truly need it including for assistance in food, you need to keep yourself and the baby growing inside you healthy. www.fns.usda.gov/fsp.. Good Luck and God Bless

My husband and I have Anthem health insurance and I know that when we first got it, they said I could not get pregnant within the first 6 months that we had our policy, but that if I was already pregnant, they would have covered it. You could try giving them a call and see if my memory is correct:
