that is normally what happens when they are in heat- you know they also have periods? That could be the reason for the bleeding, nipples swell out also when they are in heat...If you are still wondering then call the vet and talk to the receptionist....She would be able to tell you for sure if it is common or if you need to bring her in..

most the time you can tell if a dog is pregnant by the way she acts. has her behavior changed or is she more resistant to you or someone shes around a lot? those are also signs of over heating or infection. i would take her to the vet just in case

It sounds like she's in heat. Keep a good watch on her and get her spayed.
