No. I usually keep it folded to the area that I use most.

I really try to. I mean it. Neat is always good to keep up the appearance of your car. However, it does get very frustrating at times. The folds of many road maps really look so alike that it can be very, very hard. Having an audience around me doesn't help much either. The more people who are watching only makes me more nervous and self-conscious, so I try harder and harder. Many times I just crumple the map up in defeat and pitch it into the trash.

So my current method is this:
I just look up directions in advance on-line and print out my instructions on a much simpler 1 or 2 pages.
These come with step by step instructions and are easy enough for me to understand quickly while driving.
