I live about 45 minutes from a hospital in either direction. If I don't go into labor during rush hour, there should be no problem getting there in 30 minutes. I was really worried, but from everything I have read, people generally don't just pop out a baby like on tv. With this being my first, I'm sure we'll have a few false alarms before the actual thing happens.

I was a 13 minute walk away. I am not currently pregnant and will be moving. I will then be about 2 hours away from both doctor and hospital since I am considered high risk (RH sensitized).
Many women live a long way from their doctor especially if they are high risk since typically only two or three hospitals in the state will deal with those pregnancy. My hospital has many rural women who drive 2-3 hours.

With my first baby, I was around 30 minutes away, I wanted my baby to be born in a hospital close to my mother's house, even though I had an awesome hospital like 15 minutes away from my house. With my second baby, I did go to the hospital that was closest to my house, by then my mother had moved, so even though I wanted my baby to be born in the same hospital as my first, it just wasn't going to be possible. I can complain though, both hospitals where awesome, and the staff, I couldn't have asked for better doctors and nurses. Both trips, far and near, where worth it, specially with my second baby, because that little one was in a rush to come out.

I was dumb with both my pregnancies! My first, I lived 1 hour away and with my second I lived an hour and a half away.
My first pregnancy was with Triplets and I had to be delivered at a hospital with a Level 3 NICU (which was an hour away). With my second pregnancy, I delivered at the hospital that my OB/GYN that I work for delivers at.

I live about 40 minutes from the hospital, but work about 5 minutes from it. It's more convenient since I'm from a small town and there's no hospitals around where I live anyways. Also, this way I'm able to schedule my appointments during my lunch break.

i imagine this is nice 40 5 minutes isn't that far. My sister has 4 children and he or she continuously went via exertions extremely quickly compared to maximum folk, yet she never went close to to that quickly. Her wellbeing center for her first one replaced into an hour away. She pretty a lot had to grant on the line (there replaced into no longer something no longer even a gas station between her and the wellbeing center) yet that replaced into in worry-free words because her wellbeing care professional save telling her to attend at residing house and not pass in till later. So provided that your wellbeing center is slightly farther away then, once you pass into exertions do not loaf round your position for too lengthy and also you'd be only nice.
