I believe this is normal, but I would check with your obstetrician to see if this needs to be further diagnosed

Girl, I cant get enough water!!!!! And I hate drinking straight water. I just keep a big glass of ice water by me and drink away. Then 10 minutes later I'm in the bathroom, lol. It comes and goes for me being thirsty. Congrats by the way!!

It is probably nothing b/c this is normal; however, like the others have said def. go talk to your doc cause it could be diabetes or you could even have a kidney infection. Are you getting any other signs/symptoms of anything? I had a double kidney infection when pregnant for my daughter. Excessive thirst was the first thing that happened and then I just thought I was coming down sick and was taking it easy and then one day I couldn't even drive down the road w/o crying b/c it hurt my back soooo bad! Just go and get checked to make sure. I am sure you are perfectly fine though. Good luck!

Even then your not thirsty i would drink one glass of watcher every 30 min. to a hour. and see if that helps at all. Go ask a doctor if something is wrong but it sounds normal to me. sometimes its just a matter of how much your body can take. also... i would try eating an apple or a jucy fruit when you get thirsty. maybe that would help aswell

You just drink more fluids. Make sure you're drinking water and eating well.

Check your iron levels if you're wanting very cold drinks, or craving ice. Thats a sign of low iron.

I drank like a fish when pregnant. Its normal.

Your body regulates its core temperature just like a radiator in a car, you have to cool yourself now as well as the baby. Besides that, it takes more water to flush the increased toxins from your body. Drink drink drink.

With my 2nd child, I was thirsty all the time. It seemed like nothing would help. But this is normal. If it bothers you enough, bring it up with your doctor the next time you have an appointment. Congrats! :)

Excessive thrist I beleive is not normal! Keep in mind that water is your best method of staying hydrated. I beleive that you should talk to your doctor right away about excessive thirst becasue this could be a medical sign of things like low or high blood sugar! Hypoglycemia or Diabetas. Better safe than sorry!

Same thing happened to me. I had to keep a huge jug of water next to the bed at night...and of course that meant multiple trips to the bathroom. I think it is nature's way of preparing you to be up all night with the baby lol. Hubby says we need to drink more water when preggers because it puts more strain on our kidneys...kind of made sense to me.

I feel this way also I guess there is not much to do but continue to increase your beverage intake which makes you pee every few minutes but thats what we have to go through.
Try drinking and drinkg some more until you know for sure you are completely hydrated.
