hi, im currently 31 weeks pregnant and my baby never seems to stop moving! I will have the odd period of about 5 mins without a movement and then its back into overdrive! its not really a kicky baby, it just seems to shift from one side to the other, all day and all night! im not complaining as i know its a good thing to have all this movement, although my bump is getting quite tender. I just wondered if any one elses baby seems to be constantly on the go or if you had a baby in the past that was like that in the womb but a lot calmer once born as they say that at this stage the babies sleep pattern tends to be like it will be once born which worries me as at this rate it will never sleep!

My baby was exactly like this when in my tummy - constantly turning my bump into odd shapes as she was moving from side to side so much! She's nearly 4 weeks old now and a fairly calm baby really, she has one nap during the day for a couple of hours then sleeps for nearly 6 hours straight at night, has a 15-30 min feed then goes back to sleep for another 2 hours - so if my baby is anything to go by you shouldn't have anything to worry about! I worried when pregnant as my baby was constantly moving but awake most of all at night, thought I was never gonna sleep!

I am 32 weeks this week and feeling the same way. She is moving constantly throughout the day. At my job, I am working from my desk most of the day, so I think sitting here makes me feel her and focus on her movements much more than if I was walking around. I read that at 32 weeks, my baby should be sleeping 70% of the day! Not this baby...unless she is doing somersaults in her sleep!

I'm 35 weeks and they told me that I should start seeing a decline in movement since my baby should be running out of room. Totally not the case! She moves all the time!!!!!!! I had an incident at the doctor's where she had been moving so much her heart rate was up. At least she is nice and doesn't kick my ribs!

I am 29 weeks and mine is exactly the same. She does not stop kicking me. I wonder when is she getting her sleep? Sometimes she kicks so hard in the middle of the night, i have to get up and sit for sometime.
My worry is the same, what will do with this much active baby after she is born...

first off congratulations!! my son never stopped moving either and to be honest he didn't really stick to the pattern of his "bump movements" once born, your bump is tender because its stretched rub some cream on it not only is it soothing for your skin but the baby will enjoy it too also try talking and singing as the baby will get to know your voice. wait til your about due and the baby is moving you will know about it then i used to see hand and feet sticking out!! x

Look at it this way: the more moving around it does now, the more it'll wear itself out, and will sleep most contentedly! ;)
Either that, or you'll have a world-class swimmer on your hands! ;)
