It looks like it should be pronounced Lila. Change the spelling to Layla, that way you won't have to correct people constantly. Very pretty name! :) I was perfectly honest, sorry if you disagree.

I love Laila! That was one of my best friend's names back in middle school, but she spelled it Layla. Either spelling though, gorgeous name!

It's a really nice name. It makes me think of the Eric Clapton song, and of Mohammed Ali's daughter. It's a bit too girly sounding for me to use myself, but still very nice.

If it's pronounced (lay-la) - I think it's pretty.
If it's pronounced (lie-la) - that's even prettier, I think.

And the way it's spelled is pretty.

It is a nice name, but I, personally, do not like the spelling!! What would you do for the middle name cause Marie would sound nice with it!
