I have heard people say that time doesn't exist because time is a man made idea, now there is time because it can be measured, if something be preceived and it's effects can be measured then it exists, the passage of time can be seen all around us, if there was not time then there would be no seasons because nothing would change, so how can people say time doesn't exist i only ask because i have asked questions about time before with my other account and a lot of people have said that time doesn't exist.

Time exists hand- in- hand with space as the very fabric of the Universe.
The way humans choose to track it is something we made up.
That's all.

The above answer is a good one. Clocks have nothing to do with real time they were invented by man for his own convenience. Time and space are inseparable, time requires movement and movement requires space. It is always now, it can never be anything but now. When one event ends it is history and the next event becomes now.

The concept of time started with the Big Bang. Now time in terms of universe is different as compared to time in terms of earth. Let me assure u that time does exist for us and it will remain the same for earth till the time our sun will become a white dwarf star and the earth will become a pile of dust and stones.
So try to stick with the basics; as earth rotates on its own axis so day and night happens, as earth also rotates around the sun so months go by as well as years. Human developed the method to calculate the passing of days n nights and months n years and eventually the present form of time hapenned and we started keeping a track of it.

time exists in the sense that events, movement, motion exists. It is intricately tied up with the 4 dimensional space-time of our universe as others have noted.

However, I suppose there can be space without any motion or movement - i.e a universe without time.
But there cannot be time (events, motion) without space.
