I am SO not into horticulture or anything remotely related, and I don't know much at all about flowers ..
but I will go with roses.
just because I know what they are.
plus they figure prominently in "the Phantom of the Opera."

dandelions....you can spray them, rip them out of the ground, run over them, dig them up, and poison them..and they keep coming back...
you gotta admire a flower with that type of courage and stamina
