Sure he is a good president... good at playing golf and evading the rules of the Constitution. Um.. that's about it.

In responce to the one answer, Our economy was good because of Clinton not the other way around. Bush destroyed it with his 4.3 billion dollar tax cut to the rich. When you put the kind of money back in to the economy that GW did the value of the dollar drops this is why we are still in a recession.
Then his great idea for gett us out of that was to start a war wich will do the job but not the way he did it.
The only thing that bush has done good is his handeling of 9-11 everything else has been to benifit him or dick cheney.
Our economy is still very wobbly thanks to him unless you several million in the bank already.
The guy who said that bush has done great things for our economy has his facts screwed up and needs to do some research seriously.

I don't think there has ever been a President that took office to screw the American people. I really believe each took office to seriously do their best for this country. That being said in President Bush's defense many of the issues directed against him are inaccurate and in most cases should be directed at the Legislative Branch. He has made decisions that were his best choice and not what a recent poll said that Americans might want.

In my own opinion, in spite of the c's he have been given at Yale, it shows that he surpassed. Do scholars getting a grade of c's stupid? Now if he went to Yale because of the fact of his Dad, in my view i think that he replace into an obedient son respecting his father's desires. besides, that does no longer make GW Bush the stupidest and least knowledgeable President. If he replace into, he could have not stayed in place of work for 8 years.

President Bush is one of the better Presidents we have ever had. Let's examine why.
1) Handling of 9/11 and post 9/11. He can not be blamed for it at all. The blame lies with the Clinton administration. The planning and funding happened years before President Bush. Also, he united the people afterwords.
2) Economy. President Bush took the failing US economy under the Clinton years and turned it around and made it very strong, With real jobs that pay real salaries. Also, look at unemployment numbers. All down
3) Morals. I would like to see a stronger push for morals here. President Bush kinda slipped in this issue. For example, letting states allow gay marriage, not overturning Roe vs. Wade, not getting prayer into public schools, cleaning up TV and media (making more family friendly programming).
All of these add up to a great tenure in office.

Overall, bad. After 9/11, the entire world was behind us in going after terrorists and he wasted it by going after Iraq (which had NOTHING to do with 9/11). By his cowboy, "lets go it alone" attitude he has alienated most of the world and now (late ,very late) he is attempting some weak attempts at real diplomacy. The USA can not fight Al-Quada alone but Bush has lost the USA many possible, and needed, allies. We are mired in Iraq, we have given the extremists new reason to recruit killers, and Bush seems clueless.

Bush is loser. I've been a Republican and va conservative all my life. This guy has betrayed every fiscally Conservative value known. He is a spendthrift. mustagme cracks me up. Everything bad that happened during Bush's administration is Clinton's fault. Yeah right. Bush let Bin Laden walk. Bush let A.Q. Kahn walk away scott free after he sold nukes to half of Asia. Bush is loser. mustagme doesn't know much about how government works. Bush can't ban abortion. The SCOTUS would have to do that. The Definition of marriage is left up to the states. Changing this would require an act of congress. The president can't do anything about it. I find that people who support Bush generally don't have a clue about how our government actually works.

I think something happens to people when they go to Washington or to Hollyweird, they lose ever sane thought they ever had in their heads. In Bush's case if left to his own devices the United States, Canada and Mexico would all be one big country.
