You are just now noticing the ads for Christmas? I have seen them here and there for a couple of weeks now. In fact, the catalogs I have been getting in the mail have had Christmas ads in them since July. I would not be suprised to see Christmas decorations up in the store here in the next couple of days.

One year I went, a week before Halloween, to a national chain craft store to pick up some Halloween decorations. They were gone. They had been packed up and the Christmas stuff was put up in their place. There was still a week before Halloween. There were a couple of other people there who were wanting to get Halloween stuff.

The problem is that Christmas is the #1 money making holiday for the stores. Well, that is causing the problem of them starting the advertising blitz earlier and earlier every year. I guess they are afraid that people will forget about Christmas unless they remind them. Now, in terms of capitalism, it is not a problem. People make money and make jobs available. I am all for that. However, I do get sick of a lot of the Christmas ads before December even rolls around.
