I probably won't marry a women who had a child and denied it. That is because of how I feel about family. I would probably feel that we didn't agree on this very important issue, so we should be together.
However, this may not be how you feel. If it is something you think you can get beyond in your relationship, then if you love him, do what you think is right.

Of course first response is "if he's keeping this from you, or denying a child, what other skeletons would be in his closet", but there are many other things to consider; what's the story behind the child in question. Think back on other issues; has he come off shady on any other issues?? The past is ALWAYS a good indicator of the future as far as character is concerned. Good luck, and please don't take this decision too lightly, denying a child can be a horrible thing- why would he do that, what's the motive???

Although I am a guy, I would not marry anyone who denies that they are a father of a child. Being a father is the most important job in my life. Although my ex has custody of my 2 children (boy age 8, girl age 11) I could not imagine denying them. They are very important to my new wife and I . We try to involve them into our lives as much as possible. I pay support with no quams. I want them to have the best life possible. Chances are that any guy who denies their child(ren) from a previous relationship will not want children in a future relationship.

No, no and no again. A child isn't something that you should keep from the woman you want to marry. If your man has a kid, you should know about it from the beginning, so YOU can make a decision on whether you want to deal with that or not, that's not his choice. If he is denying it, then i would figure it out on your own if he doesn't want to get a test done. Find answers before you go any further with him, if he is lying about that then who know what else he is lying about

Only if he was not aware of the child and he is denying it until the DNA test confirms or denies it. But even then its questionable
If he has always known about the child HELL NO that means he can't handle the responsibity of real life.

NO! That would show alot about his character. If he was to deny his own child then how would he treat others? Thats a big thing to hide and there would be no way I could trust someone like that.

If I knew for sure that he had a child and he denied the fact....Of course I wouldn't marry him.....he would be a dishonest person and I wouldn't want to devote my life to someone that I can't trust.

Well, I'd try and understand what makes him so reluctant first.
Would that be because he had an unfaithful partner?
Because he thinks that you might not want him any more?
Is he ashamed? Of himself? Of the child? Of the connection with the child's family?
Is it because he is not paying child support and so pretends not to know?
Also, I'd make sure that he's not hiding anything else.
So, it'd depen on the reasons he gave me for not acknowledging his own flesh and blood.

well, that depends. is the child really his? was there a DNA test that said it was? if there was a test that said it was his and he is just denying the child, then no. i have no time for a person who cannot take care of a child. if it's a he said she said thing, i would demand that a DNA test get done.
