Yes. But there will be a processing fee. I had bank in one at POSB last year. The processing fee is about S$30. Remember to write your contact number behind the cheque, as the Bank will contact you for clarification.

Depending on the bank, a saving account will pay you more interest that a checking account (which really seems to get your money away more than helping you to manage it). Anyway, the disadvantage of saving accounts is that you can only make a few retirements monthly. If you exceed the number of retirements you´ll have to pay a commission (this depends on the bank too). About using Paypal, a checking account is better. Finally, if you want to withdraw money I recomend you to deposit on credit (which you can renew) because with a saving account you need a lot of time to make it.

If you have an account with these bank, of course you can deposit the cheque. Just to remember to write your name, contact no and the account no behind your cheque.

Yes, but if your account is not a Euro designated account, they'll use their exchange rate to convert the Euro to your currency. If it's a large amount, you might choose a day when the rate is more favourable.
