I heard a saying about how a boyfriend gave his girl a bouquet of roses but took one out and put a fake one and told her " I love you until the last one dies." The point is that the fake one will never die, but I thought if that fake one never dies then it was never there......right?

maybe you DID go a little far, but the whole point of the story is that the boyfriend will never stop loving his girlfriend. I think that its a good story, and that you shouldnt look too deep into it. And no, just because its fake, doesnt mean it was never there. :)

The fake flower is not alive. Therefore when the last living flower dies his love for her will end, which would be the 11th.

Death occurs only to the living. The fake rose was not alive, hence it cannot have any death. Fake one was very much there,as described but the condition of its death is not applicable.
