I think that the ones who want the war should be the ones who sign up first and fight.

Robert - You might want to re-check that presumption. The most recent polls of the military show that about 40-45% are currently planning on voting Democrat in the next election. Considering that all my hoohah friends who voted Bush in the last election are making fake vomiting noises at the name Hilary, but admit that there's no way they'd vote for Romney or Guiliani. . .hmmm. . .)

Define anti-American.

Some people call others anti-American just because those people are exercising their rights and speaking out against the government. However, that is one of the most American things an American can do. Criticize the government. Protest. Call for reform. All of those things are American actions. There is nothing in the US Constitution that says Americans have to like the government or that they can never speak against them. In fact, the Bill of Rights says the opposite. The American citizen has a right of free speech.

Some people are scared by people having rights and want is squashed at all costs. Remember Senator McCarthy and all of his work to prevent "Un-American Activities"? That is the kind of plague that should never happen again. Your statement here is definately going in an anti-American direction. You are calling for people who exercise their rights but disagree with you to be possibly sent to their deaths. That is something I think that Hitler would have supported.

No. We should send the ones who support the war to fight. If you do not support the war, then no need to be sent. If you want the war, then why not put your money were your mouth is. Actually, we should not need to draft the right wingers, they should be first in line to volunteer, yet I see very few doing so. I wonder why.
P.S. liberals are not anti americans!!!!!!!!

History has shown that if you draft people into a war and they do not want to be there, they will frag their superiors.

That does not mean that they are fighting with the enemy, but against the system that put them in harms way.

Better yet, why aren't YOU in uniform? Why do Cons always want someone ELSE to do the dirty work? Mow your lawns, raise your yuppie-larvae, cook your food, fight your battles, whatever happened to Cons doing for themselves? Showing a little self reliance?

I did my duty, when do you do yours?

You support the war with Iran, so why don't you send your *** over there, instead of sitting here and talking about it... Your a waste of life anyways, the United States doesn't need you

I would describe your question simply as "pretzel logic" - it is very twisted.

Look - you appear to be a person who enjoys war.
Why not sign up and go fight?

Why should the people who disagree with your war-like mentality be forced to do something that clearly is the WRONG move.

Our government made a WRONG decision to go into Iraq.
Why?
1. poor planning, no exit strategy;
2. limited amount of troops sent over;
3. lack of proper gear provided to our troops;
4. lack of planning when the Iraqi government collapsed;

Shall I go on?
And I didn't even mention the *gasp!* missing weapons of mass destruction, did I?

And now you think it would be wise to go into Iran?
Thank God you are not in charge of our military!
Clearly, you do not realize how stretched we are, with forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.

And speaking of Afghanistan (of which I was very supportive of our invasion there), anyone seen that bastard Osama?
Remember him?

Oh, well...I'll let you go on your merry little way.

It seems that you are just another mindless twit who enjoys invading sovereign nations just because they might disagree with us.

As they say "its your war, YOU go fight it".

There should be a draft for everyone with no exemptions. You will find less propensity to rush to War if 18 year olds were at risk of being called up to fight and their parents had to consider that fact before electing megalomaniacs to office.

Draft the illegal immigrants. If they really want to work and be Americans. Offer them a full pardon and citizenship in exchange for 4 years in the military. Sounds fair to me.

That's one way to deal with dissenters. But another way might be under consideration. Halliburton has a contract to build detention camps in the US deserts. I'm not kidding.
