Personally I think Rogers should be retained as some kind of coach, and that Jones should go. I'd love to see Zumaya as the closer in 2008. Your thoughts?

With Roger's re-occurring injuries plaguing him and his age getting up there, I would be okay with the Tigers letting him go, as for Todd Jones; he is a disaster, everytime he is on the mound I feel like he is going to blow the save; he allows hit after hit and only some nights is he really effective. I say get read of Jones and let Zumaya or Rodney close; preferably Zumaya with his speed.

If they can get Rogers for a fair price I say keep him. This league does not have a ton of effective left hand pitching and Rogers could be useful out of the bull pen or as an emergency back up starter.

As for Todd Jones, his era over the past two years has been 4.00+. I think the Tigers can do better and should move on.

I'm not sure I'm ready to see Rogers go. Him and Verlander are by far the best pitchers we have. As for Jones I say goodbye!! Having Zumaya close would be fabulous~I love him. The Tigers need to work on getting their starting pitchers ready and able to pitch onto the 6th and 7th innings, the Rodney and Zumaya and the rest of them can do their jobs.

i would like to see both of them stay if rogers was healthy we would of have 8-10 more wins jones had 38 saves thats not to bad the whole bullpen had problems not just two players i wouldnt mind seeing zumaya in as a closer but he blew a couple of games too just like jones did and rodney too

i think theyll both be back for another year. i believe that i have read that leyland wants them both back, and they both want to come back...
mariano rivera would be a nice addition though, and i dont think hes washed up any.. his off year and the blown saves i think are due to the screwy schedule where teams play each other 19 times.. that gives hitters a real good looksee of the opponents pitchers..too good.. if you could get rivera for a year or two, then let jones go and let zumaya ripen a little, especially since the only other set up guy really is rodney, they cant both pitch every day...considering i expect the tigers to win every day.. wait.. do i sound like a yankmees fan now???

Rogers is showing his age. Take away the illegal substances he puts on the ball and he is not as effective.
Jones - he is fine. Zumaya is over-rated. He will suffer if he gets hurt again. He does not know how to "pitch", just throws hard. If he loses 5 mph on his fastball, he is done.

Rogers : No. Why? He is 42 and has had a tremoundes career but cant do it anymore. The Tigers need to pick a good 1st round draft pick to help them and give them another fresh arm in the rotation.

Jones : Sorta. Can the Tigers replace him with someone else in the bullpen by buying a free agent or drafting one? If so, I say let 'er go!

Resign Jones and let Rogers walk. He sucks.

Nope, Kenny Rogers is a cheater and Jones should go as well. They need some better starting pitching.
