I have found that most guys like being checked out. There are a few exceptions but most like it if that is all you do. If you say anything then they tend to be defensive and hateful. Check me out anytime and speak to me if you want I am mostly gay and have no problem with guys checking me out. It's a great ego booster

Some straight guys are offended and get uncomfortable by being checked out. On the other hand some guys take it as the compliment it really is. To me if a guy is good looking enough to be admired by both sexes then he should be proud.
The bottom line is that all people are different in the way they respond in social situations. There are no absolutes.

The straight friend really has to be supportive, and the gay friend has to know the limits of speech, touching, joking, etc. My best friend John (straight) knows I'm gay and incredibly supportive. He jokes around and even offered to help me find a boy friend. We love spending time together, and I've developed a bit of a man-crush (I've even told him that both of our lives would be easier if he was gay). I love the guy like a brother (he often initiates the hugs), and I would NEVER do anything to jeopardize the beautiful friendship we have. We're friends like any other; we just have to recognize what the other person finds socially acceptable.

I have mostly male friends and the ones that are not homophobic find it as a compliment. Those that are homophobic freak out. Those that are homophobic most likely are because there is something there that they do not understand and thus fear. Kind of like racism. But no man or woman likes to be violated, so if the act is very intrusive, it may make anyone feel uncomfortable.

I am careful about looking or making eye contact in the gym, but not shy about checking guys out. The carefulness comes from the amount of queer-bashing that does go on in less-developed parts of the world, of which I live in one!

in our regional gay community we classify some men as downlow, trade, and totally straight.
downlow is like bi-curious and will play the field when they know for sure the other person will keep it a secret and no one else will find out.
trade - will play the field very subtle and quietly and do what they have to do and leave it alone.
totally straight - will probably do a homophobic act and kill ya.

are you sure that they are all straight lol! only kidding, well i don't think that it's a good idea to hit on them but looking is harmless and i reckon in the straight guy's mind would be 'if i were gay I'd pull so i MUST BE HOTT! lol!

Every guy, regardless of sexuality, checks out every other guy who is as defined as or better than himself. It is only natural and no-one minds. Checking a guy out differs from cruising him openly.

I don't know. There aren't any straight guys that go to my gym, except for the trainers. :o)
They know it "comes with the territory."

Some guys like the attention or they just don't notice...But the guys that I know wouldn't like it at all so I guess it all depends on the guy...
