I think the best Holiday movies are Christmas movies. The only Christmas movie that is a drama that I think is any good is "It's a Wonderful Life". Other good Christmas movies are "A Christmas Story", "Miracle on 34th Street" (the 1947 version with Edmund Gwenn), "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (the animated version with Boris Karloff narrating), and "A Charlie Brown Christmas".

A good Thanksgiving movie might be "The Homecoming" with Patricia Neal. It was the basis for the TV series, "The Waltons".

"The stones Family" starring Sarah Jessica Parker. will make you laugh, cry and bound with your crazy Family!
it is a bit contorversial as it tackle some issues within our modern society.
