Say you have a name that can be spelled several ways like Brian/Bryan OR Robby /Robbie OR Sidney/Sydney, OR Catherine/Katherine etc. Would it bug you if people continually spell it wrong?

Hey, At LEAST they are TRYING ... my first and last name are more unusual .. and with my last name being only 4 letters total ... there are so many, many misspellings and mispronunciations that NO ONE (except for family AND my current Boyfriend (who actually listened for me to introduce myself!)) can get it right at all. It DOES Bug me that people tend to pronounce my Polish name with Spanish inflections (tonal sounds) ...

well i do get annoyed because i tell everyone that my name is Nikki and it is but for some reason they want to all assume that it is short for Nicole, and for the ones who do accept it as Nikki they spell it nicky instead after me telling them. funny thing

I do and it does Tracy Tracie Tracey and some dork spelled it traicy

My name can be spelt Sharon, Sharron, Sharyn. It doesn't bother me really because they usually ask me how I spell it.

my name is joycelyn. people call me Joslyn.
thats why i usually just introduce myself as Joyce.
some jerks actually shorten the screwed up name they give me and call me Joss. Drives me nuts!!!

Yep! It also bugs me when people shorten my name (like it is too long to say...uhm it's my name)

my name is stephany. and it can be spelled many different ways....stephanie, stefany, stefanie..... and people always spell my name wrong. it used to drive me nuts but now it dont. i got used to it....

people spell my name "Jason"(typical)
but it is actually spelled "jaysin"...i don't get mad though
